Now Walk It Out...

YES! I’M GOING TO CAMBODIA!! I’ve been saying that for weeks, but in all of my excitement about going to Cambodia, I hadn’t really considered the actual going; You know, paying for the trip, getting days off, physically, mentally, and spiritually preparing to go.

Time to Go

Feb 16
Feb 16

By April 2012, I was tired and frustrated. For every two steps forward, I felt like the next decision, careless word, or missed opportunity was setting me fifty steps back. So, when a friend invited me to a fundraising banquet for Global Renewal Ministries, I gladly accepted it as a nice distraction, a reason to dress up, and an opportunity to give to a good cause. I had heard a little of Global Renewal and their work in Cambodia, but I was brought to tears that night at the cross that the Chacko family and others called to support them humbly carried. That night, I sowed a seed to help. God didn’t tell me how that seed would knit my life to Liney Chacko or to a new piece of a bigger puzzle called, Destiny.

The Game Changer

Feb 12
Feb 12

In February 2010, Pastor Amie Dockery preached a message called A Name Change is a Game Change. She led us through a series of name changes of different men and women in the Bible and how those God-given names prophesied to their highest potential. She asked a question that I couldn’t answer: What name does God call you?

Appointed to the Burrows

Feb 05
Feb 05

July 28, 1995 – the summer before my senior year of high school – I stood before a prophet and his wife who told me this:

“You are an Esther…There will be a day that I’ll (God) send you out to the burrows and the low places because you will stand up for your people. You will stand up for those who are hurting, those who are dying, and those who are seeking God. So, I see you on a missionary journey. As you study and further your education, I (God) will begin to speak with you on those places that I (God) would have you visit across the world, wherever. God has called you to be a parent, not just to your natural children, but to many, many children. God has called you to mother many, many people….God wants you to minister to them as a mother nurtures her children.

Anthem Wear was founded in February, 2011 by Natalie Choate and her husband Kevin. Natalie loved and lived life to the fullest. She was known for her boldness and desire to inspire others to live their dreams. Natalie was not afraid to speak up and let her voice be heard. She believed that anyone could make a difference if they connected to a cause greater than themselves.

Never Give Up

One day, after eighteen years of trudging through the ditches of addiction, my mind woke up and began to think. The only problem was that when my mind finally woke up, I was in prison for first degree felony drug charges.

Beautiful One

Dec 19
Dec 19

I was thinking the other day about how we as women, tend to look at ourselves through a critical eye that magnifies. Wouldn’t you agree? Others may say how wonderful we look or how smart or talented we are, but it seems to be our job to focus in with that critical eye to prove them wrong.  The tiniest flaws are just glaring back at us from every mirror we view. There are those physical flaws (nose too big, eyes too small, hips too wide, lips to thin, etc.), Intellectual flaws, emotional flaws, and on and on; you name it, we’ll find it.
