I am looking for fun ways to honor those who have registered early on for FLOURISH 2016. I believe I have found a way to do that with an exclusive opportunity for a Meet and Greet with our 2016 Speakers. I understand that there are a few of you who are planning to come but just haven’t booked it yet- I am giving you a few days before we gather all the names.

Everyone registered by midnight on April 1st, will be entered into the drawing that will be held Saturday, April 2nd at Noon. Don’t worry, if you registered months ago you are included as well. We will only be pulling 25 Winners but each winner will be able to bring 2 guests to this private event! Can’t wait to shout out your name this Saturday!

xoxo- amie

Flourish Lite

A beautiful moment captured between Pastor Kathy Hayes and Pastor Dodie Osteen. During Flourish Lite, Pastor Kathy expressed to us the profound impact that Pastor Dodie has made in her life as a friend, mentor and shining example in Women’s Ministry. Pastor Kathy attributes Pastor Dodie’s leadership to the foundational beginnings of Covenant Church’s vision and implementation of Women’s Ministry. Pastor Dodie’s pioneering spirit is deeply respected by us all. What a special moment we were all able to share - A legacy that continues to Flourish today and for generations to come.

A Special Invitation

I adore the changing of seasons! My favorite season of all is Autumn. September is a sort-of segue month to look forward to the promise of the beautiful coming days of fall; Days where bright skies and patio lunches unfold into shopping for spicy candles, pumpkins and setting a pot of soup on the stove. It almost seems as if the crisp weather brings with it a sharper clarity for refocusing on personal goals. Maybe it’s the familiarity of going back to school, but when Fall rolls around, I am ready to lean in to learning and relationships. But before I can unwrap a scarf and grab a coffee with a friend, I lay out the precious few days left of this wonderful year. I look at my calendar with a critical eye of intentionality. I purpose how, when and where I want to spend my time. And then from those pictures of potential, I shape meaningful meetings, coffee shop conversations and dinner with friends before Friday night football.

I am not sure why exactly, but the Autumn months feel so full of purpose. Like the stew on the stove, the last simmering moments bring everything together. In the coming days, all of the blessing and potential poured into our lives for this year melts into grateful possibility; and with that, a hunger to make every moment count.

SHE DOESN'T FRET

Mar 20 6:28 PM
Mar 20 6:28 PM

I am she...who stands firm in the face of adversity, shines in the midst of darkness, loves in the presence of hatred, invites in the circles of rejection, forgives in the company of resentment, builds in the collapse, rights in the wrongs, gives in the taking, lives in the dying, comforts in the crying…

I am she…who walks tall among the reeds of criticism, who treads with lighted feet above the jagged cliffs of misunderstanding, who glides across the waves of inconsistent affections and surfs above the empty foams of hollow promises.

I am she…who shuns the attention of many to captivate the heart of One, who tills relentlessly in the gardens of ingratitude, who sees the silver lining, digs for the gems in the mire, ploughs in the fields of an insatiable soil.
